The word "Order" immediately made me think of the government, and the idea of maintaining order in a complex and diverse society. Oftentimes, the government will sacrifice the privacy and security of an individual person for the sake of a grander purpose; furthermore, technology enables such things to be easily possible. In my photo, I used a projector to cast a code onto the subject's face, representing the idea of being tracked or labeled as a number in a larger data base. The subject's body language and facial expressions only emphasize the helplessness that we as citizens feel when being overpowered by the regulations and decisions made by politicians or the government. On the left, the subject attempts to block out the light, but a projection has the power to project itself regardless. This can further symbolize the lack of an escape, as well as the lack of power in protecting our personal information that is constantly spreading.
