Countless people, events, and ideas influence our day-to-day actions and behaviors without us even realizing it. To represent the word "Influence," I placed my subject in an outdoor environment with her hand reaching out to touch several bodiless hands. The hands on the right side are essentially a mystery to us-- bare arms can represent both good and bad influences, and it is nearly impossible for one to sense the consequences of letting them influence us. The outdoor environment further enhances the idea that influencing objects and people are always all around us.
